Aimed at putting together the ultimate latino boy band, Univision’s new Simon Cowell produced show La Banda turned to Brand Activation Services to help generate excitement for the show’s auditions in major markets throughout the US and Puerto Rico. The project required a social photo activation that would have a high impact in each market but travel with ease from one city to the next.
Social Media Photo Activation
We knew that Univision would not want to sacrifice brand-ability for portability and thus began a quest to build the ultimate portable social media photo booth. It needed to be packed with features including sharing to the popular social media platforms, printing, and needed plenty of surface area for branding, all while fitting into a customized pelican case that could be shipped ground or checked as baggage on a commercial airline.
Enter Selfie Socialite (powered by our very own SelfieBooth.com). After building a number of prototypes, we finally settled on a kiosk that represents the perfect mix of brand-ability and portability. The La Banda Selfie Socialite, paired with an expandable sublimated fabric backdrop, created the perfect opportunity to draw a large crowd in each city, but could be packed up in minutes to be shipped off to the show’s next destination. Depending on the amount of time between events, we would send other booths and backdrops ahead of our team to the next locations to avoid shipping delays.
